Tinubu appoints Zacch Adedeji FIRS’ acting chairman

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Zacch Adedeji, appointed acting chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Adedeji, until his recent appointment, served as the special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on revenue.

His new role as the acting chairman of the FIRS will see him take up the mantle from Muhammed Nami,who is set to proceed on three months of pre-retirement leave, as provisioned by Public Service Rule (PSR) 120243, with immediate effect.

Zacch Adelabu Adedeji is a certified accountant, and corporate tax and public finance development expert. He has over 15 years of experience in corporate accounting, public service administration and public service advisory for corporate multinationals, state governments and the Federal Government of Nigeria.

He was a one-term commissioner for Finance in Oyo State, Southwest, Nigeria between the year 2011 and 2015 under the administration of then governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
