Buhari presents award to BUA chairman,Rabiu on behalf of Nigerian military

President Muhammadu Buhari was on hand to present yet another award to Abdul Samad Rabiu, the Chairman of BUA Group at the instance of the Nigerian army.

The event which took place recently was the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference in Sokoto, where prominent Nigerians were awarded for their support to the military. Chief among the awardees was Abdul Samad Rabiu, BUA Group Chairman and founder of ASR Africa Initiative.

Buhari presents award to BUA chairman,Rabiu on behalf of Nigerian military The award was the fourth recognition to be presented by the Nigerian president personally to the BUA Group founder in less than a year.

In May 2022, Rabiu was honoured with the Nigeria Productivity Awards, after which he was presented with a national honour as a Commander of the Federal Republic, CFR.

In October same year, he was again presented the Nigeria Excellence Award in public service

for philanthropy and interventions in education.  The BUA founder was the only Nigerian

drawn from the public sector bestowed with the  honour.

Speaking at the Chief of Army Staff Conference, Muhammadu Buhari directed the military

to remain apolitical and continue to operate within the framework of the constitution to ensure the successful conduct of 2023 elections.

He also urged the Army to continue to improve to their human rights obligations during operations in line with global best practices.
