Aba Power Ltd  blames N4.2bn consumer's debt for poor electricity supply

Barth Nnaji, chairman of the Aba Power Ltd (APL), during a town-hall meeting between APL and Landlords Protection and Development Association (ALPADA),stated that APL is owed 4.2 billion by consumers barely six months after it took over electricity distribution in Aba,

This, he explained, has made operations very challenging for the company which is aimed at bringing hope for reliable power supply to the town.

Nnaji also attributed the poor power supply in the city to the vandalism of power equipment, metre bypassing and assault against Aba power staff carrying out their legitimate duties in the city.
