AIICO Insurance PLC has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), its shareholders, and the investing public of the appointment of Rotimi Okpaise as a non-executive director of AIICO Insurance Plc.
The insurance company disclosed this in a statement signed by Donald Kanu, its company secretary/chief general counsel, which noted that approval of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) was obtained for appointment.
Rotimi Okpaise is an actuary with over 30 years consulting experience. He has been the statutory actuary to many leading Insurers across West Africa. He has also seved as reporting actuary to four CLOSED PENSION FUND ADMINISTRATOR (CPFA) and the Pension Schemes of both Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and National Pension Commission (PenCom).
He recently retired from Ernst and Young (EY) where he was a partner, leading both the insurance Sector and actuarial services across West Africa.
Okpaise is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries,UK, an associate of the Society of Actuarie, USA and an alumni of the Lagos Business School (Chief Executive Programme).
