Bourse closes bullish with market cap up N44m

The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) trading platform  closed positive on Tuesday, as market capitalisation grew by y N44 billion to close at N28.997 trillion

The All-share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.15 per cent  to close at 53,238.67 points.

Meanwhile, an aggregate of 250.1 million units of share were traded at 4,328, valued at N5.88 billion.

NGX closes bullish  as investors gain N199 billionThe market breadth closed positive, as LIVINGTRUST led 29 gainers, against 18 equities that lost their share prices, topped by  CHAMS.

 LIVINGTRUST topped the gainers chart, as it appreciated by 10.00 per cent to close at N1.98; VERITASKAP was up 10.00 per cent  to close at N0.22;  GEREGU  increased by 10.00 per cent  to close at N193.60; JOHNHOLT grew by  9.92 per cent  to close at N1.33; while SCOA was  up 9.78 per cent to close at N1.0.

On the contrary,CHAMS led the losers chart, as it shed 10.00 per cent to close at N0.27; NCR was down 10.00 per cent   to close at N3.24; UNITYBNK  lost 9.09 to close at N0.50; ROYALEX depreciated by 8.97 per cent to close at N0.71; while JAPAULGOLD declined by 8.33 per cent  to close at N0.33.

At the end of trading activities on Tuesday,  the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 3.18 per cent, while the  stock market  advanced by 1,643.01 basis points.
