STL Trustees Limited, a leading corporate trustees firm in Nigeria is set to host a webinar on non-interest finance for infrastructural development on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

 

STL Trustees to Host Sukuk Issuances Webinar The webinar, the sixth in the series of the company’s Webinars is titled, “Leveraging Non-interest Finance for Infrastructural Development”.

Speaking on the theme, Funmi Ekundayo, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of STL Trustees Limited argued that Non-interest Finance instruments have proven itself to be effective instruments for the development of the fastest growing economies in the world. The federal government of Nigeria has undertaken over forty-six road construction projects through Sukuk, a non-interest finance instrument, and all over the world non-interest finance instruments are being used to bridge infrastructural gaps, she added.

STL Trustees Limited has been a part of several Sukuk issuances in Nigeria including the Osun Sukuk which was the foremost Sukuk issued in Nigeria and several federal government Sukuk issuances.

The speakers expected at the webinar include Funmi Ekundayo, Akin Oni, Head, Trust Services and Legal, STL Trustees Limited and Mallam Attahiru Maccido, MD/CEO, One17 Capital Limited. Maccido is a seasoned expert in the capital markets and particularly in the non-interest financial instrument space.
