Okonjo-Iweala, WTO chief, headlines MAN’s 49th meeting

President Muhammad Buhari, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, director-general of the World Trade  Organisation (WTO),  and  Akinwunmi Adesina, president of the African Development Bank(AfDB), are expected to be present at the 49th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) which commenced October 25 and will be on till October 27, 2021.

According to the invitation made available to Business A.M., President Buhari will be the  special guest of honour while Adesina is the  distinguished speaker. It also said that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will feature in the evening hours on Tuesday October  26, 2021 at International  Conference  Centre Abuja, but her role was not  specified.

 

Also, there will be the Adeola  Odutola lecture/presidential lecture on October 26.

 

The theme of this year’s lecture, “Overcoming binding constraints to competitive  manufacturing for intra-Africa trade” is taking place at the International Conference Centre,  Abuja.

 

According to the invitation,  the private  session will hold on Wednesday  October 27 as well as “MAN at 50 Dinner Award”  night, at same venue

 

Meanwhile,  the made-in-Nigeria exhibition  called  MANEXPO2021 which will end on 27, 2021 is currently on.
